After living and working in America for more than 20 years, Saadia Chaudhry a Pakistani-American educationalist went back to Pakistan to contribute to the development of Primary education system of
Pakistan. She started as the Education Advisor to the Chief Minister of Punjab and now after 3 years of working, writing and developing reference materials for teachers and students both, she heads the task Force on education.  This enterprise piece explores the work being done to enhance the primary education platforms of Pakistan, which according to Saadia, is one of the most basic needs for any society to thrive and grow intellectually.

This is an enterprise piece capturing a day in the life of an American Imam. Imam Johari from Falls Church VA is also known as a 21^st century Imam. Besides being a graduate of Chemistry and Genetics from Howard University, he is a scholar, an activist, a humanitarian, a Chaplain, a social worker, a community leader, a musician and an avid golfer. He says Golf reminds him of Paradise and in these trying times for Muslims; it gives him piece of mind. Imam Johari is also teaching Introduction to Islam at Northern Virginia community college and emphasizes on the role and importance of education. Community members say that without Imam Johari it would’ve been difficult for them to deal with issues like domestic violence within Muslim families in America because the Imam talks to the people like a brother, a father, a son and most important of all, as a friend.

This is a narrative original piece about two Australian surfers who are on an adventure trip to surf the 50 states of America and shoot a documentary about their entire trip. Through this initiative they would like to show to the youth that to enjoy life to the fullest all you need is a dream and the will to fulfill it. According to Jonathan and Stefan, America does not have a good reputation in Australia, and by doing this they feel that they can show the Australian people that you cannot judge a country by the action of a few people. They say that in the past five months of touring America, they have come across many amazing people, and an experience which has completely changed their lives in so many ways. We caught up with them on their recent tour to DC, where they water-surfed in the Potomac River.

God and Allah need to talk – A film for healing and reconciliation

This is an enterprise mission story that talks about the film ” God and Allah need to talk” written produced and directed by a Jewish American film maker from LA Ruth Sharone. The film talks about God and Allah being the same divine power and the fact that Gods children need to talk to each other rather then God talking to himself. The story is set against the backdrop of an interfaith initiative taken by the Ambassador of Bangladesh His Excellency Shamsheer Chowdry together with film maker and interfaith activist Ruth Sharon, to launch and evening of multicultural dialogue and help people from different faith groups and religions to get together and find common grounds amongst themselves and their different beliefs.

The event also marked post thanksgiving celebrations where representatives from all the major faith groups of the world got together to dialogue, communicate, screen the film and at the end of the event they all broke bread together to commemorate the struggles of all world religions to coexist in harmony.

On the eve of the election night we sat down with some American and Pakistani-American Law Students to hear their thoughts on the elections as well as on the results. The students were from Rising Leaders, Georgetown University, Pakistani Students Association, Pakistani Law Students Association, and the Muslim Law Students Association. This enterprise piece is aimed at discovering how American youth looked at the campaigning and the outcome of these elections.
